Our History
Founded in 1987, by Ben Blackmon, our business was based upon the installation of quality products by qualified personnel. Maverick Communications has continued to maintain this high standard of excellence, while steadily expanding its customer base. This base now includes ​a variety of customer types, from doctors, lawyers, hospitals and small businesses to chemical and oil refineries. It is this diversity ​that has enabled Maverick Communications to continue upward growth, setting new records year after year.

Maverick Communications’ commitment to excellence has earned our reputation as one of the top communication companies in Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana. By bringing over 130 years of combined experience in communications to its customers, Maverick Communications is able to meet almost every communication need with intracompany trained personnel.
These communications needs include PBX, electronic key systems, card access, interactive video, security cameras, access ​control, intrusion detection, computer networking, indoor and outdoor fiber optic cabling, and indoor and outdoor copper cabling.
​As a commitment to excellence, we strive to stay on top of the ever evolving technology. Maverick Communications technicians attend training classes on an ongoing basis as required to stay current with the ever-changing communications field. Maverick Communications is a member in ​good standing with BICSI.

- Maverick Communications uses only quality products to ensure that our customers receive the best services that technology can provide. All cabling installations come with a 5-year warranty and with certain provisions provide a 20-year warranty backed by the manufacture.
